EXTRAORDINARY________________ [ P a r t III—Sec. 4) PRASAR BHARATI (BROADCASTING CORPORATION OF INDIA) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 2 1 st August, 2002 No. N-10/10/2001-PPC — In exercise o f the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (2) of section 33 read with sub-section (2) of section 9 of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990 (25 of 1990), the Corporation, with the prior approval of the Central Government, hereby makes the following regulations, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement - (1) These regulations may be called the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) (Junior Administrative and Allied posts) Service Regulations, 2002.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Application - These regulations shall apply to the posts specified in column 1 of the Schedule annexed hereto.
3. Initial Constitution - All persons appointed at the commencement of these regulation s in the Junior Administrative and Allied posts on regular basis shall be deemed to have been appointed in such posts under these regulations. The service rendered by them before the commencement of these regulations shall be taken into account for deciding the eligibility for promotion etc. for the next grade.
4. Number of posts and scales of pay The number of posts and their scales of pay shall be as specified in columns 2 and 3 of the Schedule aforesaid.

5. Whether selection post or non-selection post, Age limit for direct recmits, edncational and other qualifications > Whether selection post or non-selection post, age liinit for direct recruits, educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits, whether age and educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruits will apply in the case of promotes, period of probation, if any, method of recruitmrat, grades from which promotion or deputation to be nmde, composition of Departmental ^omotion Committee shall be as specified in tiie columns 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11 respectively of the Schedule aforesaid.
6. Disqualification - No person-
(a) who, has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the service:
Provided that the Corporation may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this regulation.
7. Power to relax - Where the Corporation is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in \ writing, relax age limit, educational and other qualifications prescribed for direct recruits.
8. Interpretation - If any question relating to interpretation of these regulations arises, it shall be decided by the Corporation, in consultation with the Central Government.
