tuo (5;' UJ I I I■ O' € CO vr u •:7 so PRASARBHARATI (BROADCASTING CORPORAnON OF INDIA) NOnnCATION New Delhi, the 5th June, 2002 — În exercise ofthe powers conferred by Section 33 read with Sub-section (2) of Section 9 of the Pras^ Bharau (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act. 1990 (25 of 1990), the Corporation, with the prior approval of the Central Government, hereby makes tlie following regulations, namely:— 1- Short title and co m m c n c cm cn t(i) These regulations may be callcd the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) (Junior Security posts) Service Regulations, 2002.
(ii) They shall come into forcc on the date o f their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. p lication These regulations shall apply to the post specified in column 1 o f the relevant schedule to the regulations.
3. Initial Constitution Before commencement o f these regulations, the offlc .ts holding the posts o f security Officer Grade II, Grade HI, Assistant Security Office , Head Security Guard (Headquarter) and Head Security Guard on regular basis shall be deemed to have been appointed in accordance with the provisions o f these regulations. The service rendered by them before the commencement of these regulations shall be taken into account for deciding the eligibility for promotion to the next grade.
4 Number of posts and scales o f pav > The number of posts and their scales o f pay shall be as specified in columns 2 and 3 of the Schedule annexed hereto.
5. Method of Recruitment. Age limit and other Qualifications etc. The method of recruitment of the said posts, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating thereto shall be as specified in the columns 4 to 11 o f the said Schedule.

6. Disqualification No person-
(a) who. has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living;
or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts;
Provided that the Corporation may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this regulation.
7. Power to relax Where the Corporation is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions o f these regulations v«th respect to any class or category or persons, with the previous approval of the Central Government,
8. Savings Nothing in these regulations shall affect reservation, relaxation o f age limit and other concessions required to be provided for persons belonging to the Scheduled Cistes, the scheduled tribes and other special categories or persons in accordance with orders issued by the Central Government, from time to time in this regard.
9. Interpretation.- If any question relating to interpretation o f these regulations arises, it shall be decided by the Corporation.
