No. N-10/5/2013- PPC.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 and sub-section (5) of section 11 read with clause (d) of sub-section (2) of section 33 of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990 (25 of 1990), and in supersession of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) (Senior Programme Posts) Recruitment Regulations, 2002, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India), with the prior approval of the Central Government, hereby makes the following regulations, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.-(1) These regulations may be called the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Programme Executive Recruitment Regulations, 2013.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of posts, Pay Band and Grade Payor Pay scale.- The humber of the said post, its classification, Pay Band and Grade Payor Pay Scale attached thereto shall be as specified in columns 2 to 4 of the Schedule annexed to these regulations. ' i· / I i I I .

3.. ,Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc.-The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications ~nd 'Othermatters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns 5 to 12 of the said Schedule.
4.. Se",iority.- The inter-se seniority of Programme Executives who are appointed under these requlatlens slJalio be in accordance with the general instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from ti~ to time' '. ' .
5. Disqualification •No person,- .
I .
. (a) I who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:
Provided that the Corporation may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law)' applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage, and that there are grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this regulation. .,
6. Age relaxation for casual assignees.- The casual assignees working in Stations or Kendras of All India!
Radio and Doordarshan performing the duties of Program Executive shall be eligible for relaxation of age for direct recruitment to the extent oftheir services rendered as Programme Executive on casual basis:
Provided that a minimum of one hundred and twenty days service in a calendar year shall be reckoned as one year service.
Explanation - It is hereby clarified that for determining the extent of service rendered for the purpose of this regulation, engagement for a total minimum period of one hundred. and twenty days in one calendar year as Programme Executive on casual basis shall be taken as one year and their engagement for less than one \lund red and twenty days in a calendar year shall not qualify for such age relaxation.
t: Power to relax.-Where the Corporation is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, i~may, by \ order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, and in consultationjwith the' Prasar Bharati Recruitment Board and' with the prior approval of the Central Government, relax any of the provisions of these regulations with; respect to any class or category of persons. .
8. Saving.-Nothing in these regulations shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-servicemen and other speclal categories of persons, in accordance with the orders issued by the Government from time to \ time in this regard. .
