Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections (Amendment) Ordinance, 1977Ordinance · 1977

(1) The Election Commission shall, as soon as may be, after the receipt of a petition under section 19, take such steps as may be prescribed for convening a Council for trying the petition.

(2) Where moie petitions than one have been received under section 19 in respect of the same election, a single Council shall be convened for the trial of such petitions and such Council may in its discretion try them separately or in one or more groups.
