Ms. No. 1, Puducherry, dated 3rd January 2020) NOTIFICATION In pursuant to the Government of India Act “Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016” (hereafter referred to as Act) and the Social Welfare Department, Puducherry vide Letter No. 360 (4)/DSW/DD/HW-l/RPD Act/2018/326, dated 21st February 2018, the Health Department, Puducherry, is need to be notify the following designated authorities for the purpose of the implementation of various provisions of the Act. In exercise of the powers conferred under section 21 of the Act, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to extent welfare measures in Employment, Education and Welfare to persons with disabilities under the Act. In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of the section 23 of the Act, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to notify the officers (list annexed herewith) as the Grievance Redressal Officers of the Head of Office/ Controlling Officer of the Hospitals/Institutions concerned of the Health Department, Puducherry.
