(1) Subject to such control and restrictions as may be specified in the rules made in this behalf, a Planning Authority may appoint such number of officers and employees as may be necessary for the efficient performance of its functions and may determine their designations and grades.

(2) The officers and employees of the Planning Authority shall be entitled to receive such salaries and allowances, if any, as may be fixed by the Planning Authority and shall be governed by such terms and conditions of service as may be determined by rules and regulations made in this behalf.
CHAPTER - IV PREPARATION OF LAND USE MAP AND REGISTER Preparation of Existing Land and Building Use Map and Register
17. As soon as may be, after its constitution, every Planning Authority shall, not later than six months after its constitution or within such further period not exceeding six months as the Government may allow, prepare a Present Land Use Map (hereinafter called the Map) and present Land Register (hereinafter called the Register) in the form to be prescribed, indicating the present use of very piece of land in the planning area and the present use of every building therein.
