The Puducherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969Union territory Act of Puducherry · Act 13 of 1970

(1) The Government may, by notification, withdraw from the operation of this Act, the whole or part of any planning area declared thereunder.

(2) When a notification is issued under this section in respect of any planning area, this Act and all notifications, rules, regulations, orders, directions and powers issued, made or conferred under this Act, shall cease to apply to the said area.

330 Senior Town Planner

10. As soon as may be after the commencement of this Act, the Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint a Senior Town Planner for the Union territory called “Senior Town Planner” for the purpose of carrying out the functions assigned to him under this Act or rules made thereunder.
