1. THE EQUAL REMUNERATION ACT, 1976 THE 24TH AUGUST, 1976. No. S.O. 42/C.A. 25/76/S. 7/76.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (6) of section 7 of the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 (Central Act 25 of 1976), the Governor of Punjab is pleased to specify the Labour Commissioner Punjab, as the authority for the purposes of the aforesaid Sub-section.

THE EQUAL REMUNERATION ACT, 1976 THE 24TH AUGUST, 1976 No. S.O. 40/C.A. 25/76/S9/76.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 (Act No. 25 of 1976), the Governor of Punjab is pleased to appoint all the Factory Inspectors, all the Labour Inspctors Grade-I, and all the Labour Inspectors Grade-II of theLabour Department, Punjab to be Inspectors within the local limits of their respective Jurisdiction, for the purpose of making an investigation as to whether the provisions of the said Act, or the rules made there under are being complied with by the employers.
4. THE EQUAL REMUNERATION ACT, 1976 NOTIFICATION THE IST JULY, 1977 S.O. No. S. 42013/23/76/WC.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section9l) of section 6 of the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 25 of 1976), the Central Government hereby specifies the employments in wholesale and retail trade and restaurants and hotels specified in the schedule annexed here to for the purpose of constitution of one or more Advisory Committee by the appropriate Government to advise it with regard to the extent to which women may be employed in such emoloyments. THE SCHEDULE Wholesale trade in food, textiles, live animals, beverags and intoxicants.
(1) wholesale trade in cereals and pulses.
(2) Wholesal trade in textiles and textile products, like all kinds of febrics garments, shirtings, suiting and hosiery goods.
(3) Wholesale trade in beverages other than intoxicants such as aerated water.
(4) Wholesale trade in intoxicants like wines and liquors including bottling of wines and liquors.
(5) Wholesale trade in narcotes like opium and ganja.

5. EQUAL REMUNERATION ACT, 1976 NOTIFICATION THE 26TH MAY, 1978 S. O. No. 356 (E) :—In exercise of th powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 (25 of 1976), the Central Government hereby appoints the 3rd June, 1978 as the date on which the said Act shall come into force in respect of employment in relating to Community, Social and Personal Services specified in the schedule annexd nerete :— THE SCHEDULE Sanitary Services Sanitation and similar services such as garbage and sewage disposal, operation of drainage systems and all other types of work connected with Public Health and Sanitation, Medical and Health Services : Veterinary services, Community Services :
