Section 2: Definitions

The Punjab Bovine Breeding Rules-2021State Rules of Punjab · 2016

(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, -

(a) 'Act' means the Punjab Bovine Breeding Act, 2016 (Punjab Act No. 17 of 2016);

(b) ‘CMU’ means the Central Monitoring Unit constituted by the Government of India for evaluation and grading of semen stations.

(c) 'Form' means the Form appended to these rules;

(d) ‘GADVASU’ means the Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana;

(e) ‘MSP’ means the Minimum Standard Protocol of the Government of India for semen stations and semen banks;

(f) 'section' means a section of the Act; and

(g) ‘SOP’ means the Standard Operating Procedure of the Government of India for semen stations and semen banks.

(2) The words and expressions used in these rules but not defined shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act.
