The employer shall ensure that explosive corrosive substances, including alkalis and acids, shall be stored and used by a person dealing with such substance at a building or other construction work in such a manner that it does not endanger the building and other building workers and suitable protective equipment shall be provided by the employer to a construction worker during handling or use of such substance at a building or other work, and in case of spillage of such substance on the building worker, immediate remedial measures shall be taken by the employer. The employer shall also ensure that explosives are stored away from any other structure in cool areas and requisite fire fighting and security arrangements are provided.
