Section 189: Inspection and maintenance of pile-driving equipment

Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers ( (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008.) Rules, 2008State Rules of Punjab · 1996

The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that,—

(a) pile-driving equipment is not taken into use until it has been inspected by a responsible engineer and found to be safe for such use;

(b) pile-driving equipment in use is inspected by a responsible engineer for such inspection at suitable intervals to ensure safety of the building worker, working on such equipment; and Sections 40 (2)

(c) all pile lines and pulley blocks are inspected by a responsible engineer before the beginning of each shift of piling operation.
