The employer shall ensure that illumination, sufficient for maintaining safe working conditions at a site of a building or other construction work is provided where building workers are required Section 40 (2) (u) Section 40 (2) (u) Section 40 (2) (i)Section 40 (2) (i) 17 to work or pass through passageways, stairways and landings etc. Such illumination should conform to the standards fixed by the Bureau of Indian Standards or any other approved standards.
