Section 85: Floor openings

Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers ( (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008.) Rules, 2008State Rules of Punjab · 1996

The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that every opening used for the removal of debris from every floor, which is not closed to access, except the top or working floor, is provided with a safe and strong enclosure all around the opening of such floor so that no building worker has access to within a horizontal distance of not less than half a metre from such opening through which debris is being dropped.
