Section 94: Illumination

Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers ( (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008.) Rules, 2008State Rules of Punjab · 1996

(1) The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that all work places, where excavation or tunnelling works are carried out shall be adequately illuminated in the manner specified in Schedule III. The cable for such illumination shall be checked, laid properly and is made safe wherever required.

(2) Every employer carrying out excavation or tunnelling works at a construction site of a building or other construction work shall, in case of power failure, provide for emergency electric generators on such construction sites to ensure adequate illumination of all work places, where such excavation or tunnelling work is being carried out.
