Section 13: Restrictions on use of personal information

The Collection of Statistics Rules, 2011State Rules of Punjab · 1953

Each agency engaged in collection of statistics shall take all reasonable measures to ensure that—

(a) personal information is protected against unauthorized access, disclosure or other misuse;

(b) the agency uses personal information only for the purpose of fulfiling its obligations under a specified contract;

() in case of repetitive statistical surveys with a common set of informants, the agency uses the personal information carlier collected only for the purpose of setting up interviews with or otherwise contracting informants; and

(d) the agency uses personal information for data processing only with adequate security checks.
