Every manufacture or dealer shall, when so required by the District Magistrate, by general or special order in writing, deposit security with him within fifteen days of the receipt of the order. Such order shall specify the amount of security which shall not exceed ten thousand rupees in any case and the form in which is to be deposited. The security would be deposited in head of Account No. 8443-civil Deposits
(106) Personal Deposits (01) Personal Deposits of Director Food and Supplies, Punjab Government.
(2) if any order has been issued under the provisions of sub-clauses (1), the manufacture or the dealer affected by it shall deposit the security of the correct amount in the form and by the date specified in the order and if security is not deposited then without prejudice to any other action that may be taken against him, his licence may be cancelled or withheld or suspended.
(3) If the manufacturer or dealer who has deposited security amount under the provisions of this clause contravenes any of the provisions of the Order of conditions of the licence then without prejudice to any other action which may be taken against him, the District Magistrate may direct be order, in writing that out of his security an amount not exceeding rupees two thousand and five hundred be forfeited.
(4) An appeal shall lie to the Director against the order of the District Magistrate forfeiting the security under sub-clause (3) provided it is instituted within thirty days of the date of the order. The decision of the Director in this behalf shall be final.
