(I) These rules may be called the Punjab State Board ofTechnical % 3 Education and Industrial Training Service (First Amendment) Rules, 2011. y l (2) They shall come into force on and with effect from the date é , of their publication in the Official Gazette.
E 2. In the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial i ‘3 Training Service Rules, 2007 (hereinafier referred to as the said rules), in rule 5, 7 after sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely 2- :
3 “(Z-A) No person shall be appointed to any post in the Service by i g direct appointment unless he possesses knowledge of Punjabi \ 3 ‘ language of Matriculation standard or its equivalent :
‘l Provided that where a person is appointed on compassionate K g» ground on priority basis under the instructions issued in this behalf l l; . by the Government, the person so appointed will have to acquire 3 knowledge of Punjabi language of Matriculation standard or will E ‘3’ have to qualify a test, conducted by the Language Wing of the l ‘ Department ofEducation ofthe Punjab Government within a period l of six months from the date of his appointment :
3 Provided further that where educational qualifications for a post I; in any Service are lower than Matriculation, then knowledge of l Punjabi language shall be lowered accordingly S.
