Act, 1962 (Punjab Act No. 11 of 1962), and all other powers enabling him in this behplf, the Govemnor of Punjab is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners’ - (Temproary Release) Rules, 1963, namely:- Pl T RULLS i. (1) These rules may be called the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners' (Temporary Release) Amendment Rules, 2013.
(2) They shall come into force on and with effect from the date of their publication inthe Official Gazette.
2. InthePunjab Good Conduct Prisoners' (Temporary Release) Rules, 1963, inrule3 in sub-rule (3),- 3, @) for the word and sign "respectively:-", the word .and sign "respectively:" shall be substituted; and
(ii) inthe proviso, for the words “not exceed twenty thousand rupees in cach case", the words "shall neither exceed rupees two lac nor it shall be less than rupees fifty thousand in any case, subject, however, to the satisfaction of the competent authority in each case” shall be substituted.
