PART I DEPARTMENT OF LEGAL AND LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS Notification 1942, The 19th April, 1982 No, 11-Leg./82.-The following Act of the Legislature of the State of Punjab received the assent of the Governor of Pun jab on the 7th April, 1982 and is hereby published for general information :
Punjab Act No. 9 of 1982 THE PUNJAB LEGISLATORS (ALLOWANCES AND AMENITIES) MODIFICATION ACT, 1982.
AN ACT 23 to amend the laws relating to the grant of allowances and other amenities to the legislators of the State of Punjab.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Thirty third Year of the Republic of India, as follows :
1. This Act may be called the Punjab Legislators (Allowances and short title.
Amenities) Modification Act, 1982.
2 In the Punjab Legislative Assembly (Allowances of Members) Act, Amendment
(6) in section 4-C, in sub-section (1),
(a) in section 4-A, in the proviso to sub-section (2), for the words "three 1942.
thousand and six hundred rupees", the words four thousand and eight hundred rupees'" shall be substituted ;
(i) in clause (a), for the words one lac rupees", the words one lac and twenty-five thousand rupees" shall be substituted : and
(ii) in clause (b), for the words �forty thousand rupees", the words seventy thousand rupees shall be substituted.
3. In the Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker's 'and Deputy Speaker's Amendment Salaries Act, 1937, of Puajab Act 3 of
(a) in section 3-A, in the proviso to sub-section (1), for the words three thousand and six hundred rupees", the words four thousand and eight hundred rupees" shall be substituted :
(6) in section 4, in sub-section (7), of Punjab Act 4 of
(i) in clause (a), for the words one lac rupees", the words one lac and twenty-five thousand rupees'" shall be substituted ;

3.. In the Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker’s "and Deputy Speaker's Amendment i — of Punjab Salaries Act, 1937, of 2 iab
(a) in section 3-A, in the proviso to sub-section (1), for the words 1937.
“three thousand and six hundred rupees”, the words ‘‘four thousand and eight hundred rupees” shall be substituted ;
(b) in section 4, in sub-section (/),— =
(i) in clause (a), for the words “one lac rupees”, the words “one lac and twenty-five thousand rupees” shall be substituted ;
and Amendment of East Pun jab Act 6 of 1947.

(i) in clause (b), for the words "forty thousand rupees", the word "seventy thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
4. In the East Punjab Ministers' Salaries Act, 1947,
(a) in section 2, in the proviso to sub-section (4), for the words "three thousand and six hundred rupees", the words four thousand and eight hundred rupces" shall be substituted.
(b) in section 2-D, in sub-section (), (() in clause (a), for the words "one lac rupees", the words "one lac and twenty-five thousand rupees'" shall be substituted;
and
(it) in clause (b), for the words �forty thousand rupees", the words "seventy thousand rupees'" shall be substituted.
5. In the Salaries and Allowances of Deputy Ministers, Punjab Act, 1956,
(a) in secti on 5-A, in the proviso to sub-section (), for the words "three thousand and six hundred rupees, the words four thousand and eight hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
(b) in section 5-C, in sub-section (), () in clause (a), for the words "one lac rupees", the words on and
(ii) in clause (b), for the words �forty thousand rupees", the words "seventy thousand rupees" shall be substituted.

Amendment S. In the Salaries and Allowances of Deputy Ministers, Punjab Act, of Punjab 1956,— nn Act 22 of 1956,
(a) in section 5-A, in the proviso to sub-section (7), for the words “three thousand and six hundred rupees”, the ] words “four thousand and eight hundred rupees” shall be substituted.
(b) in section 5-C, in sub-section (/),—
(i) in clause (a), for the words “one lac rupees”, the words “on lac and twenty-five thousand rupees” shall be substituted ;
and
(ii) in clause (b), for the words “forty thousand rupees”, the words “seventy thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
