Section 44: Declaration of result in uncontested election

The Punjab Municipal Election Rules, 1994State Act of Punjab · Act 19 of 1994

(1) If the number of contesting candidates is equal to or less than the seats to be filled, the Returning Officer shall declare the result of the election in Form 25 and send signed copies of the declaration to the Commission and the District Electoral Officer.

(2) If a poll becomes necessary, the Returning Officer shall supply a copy of the list of contesting candidates to each such candidate or his election agent.
