Section 29: Custody of F'und

(I) The Panchayat Samiti Fund and the Zila Stttionsl38. IJ9 Parishad Fund kepi under section 138 and section 188 of the Act, shall be of and !88 the nature of a Local Fund Deposit Account under the head "Deposits and Ad\•ances-Part 11- Dcros its not bcar\ng interest-(c) Other Deposit Accounts-Deposit of Local Fund Other f unds--Other Miscellaneous Allowances f'unds- runds (i) Panchayat Samiti (ii) 7.ila Parishad".

(2) The Panchayat Sarn i ti f'und and the Zila l'arishad Fund shall be kept in a Single Bank Account unless provided otherwise under any law or contract or orders of Government or in Treasury as a purely bank mg account, money being paid into and drawn out of it without specification of the nature of the Receipt or Expenditure. Withdrawal may be made by meilns of cheques signed by the Executive Offi~-er or the Chief Executive Officer, as the case may be, only when it is required for immediate disbursement on an item of expenditure of the Panchayat Samiti or the Zila Parishad, as the case may be:

Provided that all the payments shall be made through RTGS in routine except in those cases where payment th.rough RTOS is not practically possible for reason> to be recorded in writing. In such cases, the payments shall only be made through crossed or account payee cliequcs or drafts.
