Section 2: Definitions

The Punjab Panchayati Raj Rural Veterinary (Group-A) Service Rules,2011State Rules of Punjab · 1994

(I) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) "Act" means the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 ;

(b) "Selection Committee" means a Committee constituted under rules 5 of these rules ;

(c) "Service" means the Punjab Panchayati Raj Rural Veterinary (Group' A') Service constituted under rule 3 of these rules; and

(d) "Government" means the Government of the State of Punjab in the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats.

(2) The words and expressions used in these rules, but not defined, shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Punjab Civil Services (General and common conditions of service) Rules, 1994.
