The Punjab Plastic Carry Bags (Manufacture, Usage and Disposal) Control Act, 2005State Act of Punjab · Act 17 of 2005

(1) No Court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act or the rules made thereunder, except on a complaint made by the local authority or an officer authorized by the State Government in this behalf.

(2) No Court inferior to that of a Judicial Magistrate of the First Class, shall try any offence punishable under this Act.

24. The provisions of this Act shall be in addition to and not in derogation of the provisions of any other law on the subject, for the time being in force.
