Convicted prisoners and undertrial prisoners in the Court of a Magistrate in camp shall be kept 1 at night in the lock-up of a police station if there is any such station within five miles.
When they are kept at night clsewhere other than in a lock-up they shall be fastened to each other by chains which should be procured by the Officer-in-charge of the police escort for the prison, before departure. The officer-in-charge of the police escort for the prisoners shall be responsible subject to the orders of the magistrate for their protection from the weather and for their transport and food.
