The Punjab Prisons and Correctional Services Act, 2026State Act of Punjab · Act 9 of 2026

(1) The Head of Department shall establish a staff welfare wing to be headed by the Chief Welfare Officer, to aid and advise the Government in the implementation of welfare measures for prison officers and staff.

(2) The prison officers and prison staff may be rewarded as per the rules for outstanding work done by them in discharge of their duties.
