The Punjab Self-Supporting Co-operative Societies Act, 2006State Act of Punjab · Act 17 of 2010

(1) Where a person is refused admission for becoming a member of a self-supporting co-operative society by the Board, he may file an appeal against his refusal to the Arbitration Council within a period of sixty days from the date of communication of his refusal.

(2) The Arbitration Council shall decide the appeal filed under subsection (7) within a period of ninety days from the date of filing such appeal, after giving an opportunity of being heard to the applicant.

27. Subject to the provisions of this Act, rules and the bye-laws made thereunder, a member may at any time, withdraw from the membership of a self-supporting co-operative society.
