Government or any officer empowered by the Government in this behalf may, by notification in the official Gazette, exempt from the operation of all or any of the provisions of this Act for any period it considers desirable any establishment or any class thereof or any employer or employees or class of employers or employees to whom this Act applies on such conditions as it may think fit.
