Section 1: Short title and commencement

Punjab State Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Rules, 2013State Rules of Punjab · 2009

(I) These rules may be called the Punjab State Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Rules, 2013.

(2) They shall come into force on and with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2 Definitions.- (I) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires;

(a) 'Act' means the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Act, 2009;

(b) 'Government' means the Government of the State of Punjab in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development;

(c) 'section' means a section of the Act; and

(d) 'Form' means a Form appended to these rules.

(2) All other words and expressions used in these rules but not defined shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act.
