Section 7: Requirement for license

Punjab Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Counselling and Rehabilitation Centres Rules, 2011State Rules of Punjab · 1985

No centre in the State of Punjab shall Sections 71 and 78.

be allowed to operate, unless it has obtained license from the licensing authority :

Provided that the centres, which are already existing before coming into force of these rules, shall have to obtain a license under these rules within a period of three months from the date of commencement of these rules, failing which, it shall not be allowed to operate.

8. Licensing Authority——{1) There shall be constituted a Licensing Sections 71 and 78.

Authority to issue license for the purpose of these rules.

(2) The Licensing Authority, constituted under sub-rule (1), shall consist of the following, namely :-—

(a) Director. Health and Family Welfare, Punjab ; and

(b) Director, Social Security, Women and Child Developmen:

Punjab.
