(a) ‘Academie council’ means the Academic Counc of the Universiy:
{b) ‘authorities? means the authorities ofthe University:
(c). "Boaed of Management’ means the Board of Management “ofthe University:
[d) “Board of Studies’ means 4 body, to be constituted by the Governing Boy:
(c). ‘campuses’ means 4 contiguous area within which the University is situate
(0) ‘Chairman’ means the Chairman ofthe Tost
(2) ‘Chancellor’ means the Chancellor ofthe University
(hy) ‘Chie Finance and Accounts Officer’ means the Chief Finance and Accounts Officer ofthe University
(i) ‘Dean’ means a Dean ofthe University:
G). “Governing Body’ means the Governing Body of the University
(4) “Institution” means an institution or institute oF college oF academic centre (by whatever name it may be called) run oF managed by the ‘University within the eampus;
(1) ‘preseribed! means prescribed bythe statutes, oninanees and segulatons
(im). “Registrar means the Registrar ofthe University:
(n) ‘State Government’ means the Government of the State of Punjab;
(o) ‘statutes, ‘ordinances’ and ‘regulations’ means the statutes, ‘ordinances and regulations ofthe University, made by itunder this Act,
(n). ‘teacher’ includes Professor, Reader, Associate Professor, ‘Assistant Professor Lecturer and any such other person who imparts insietion in the University
(a). “Trust” means the Surya World Educational Research and Charitable Initiative, « Trust, epistered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (XX of 1860);

(7) “Universi” means the Surya World University, established unde section 3 ofthis Act,
(8) ‘Vice-Chancellor’ means the Vice-Chancellor of the University: and
(2) “Visitor” means the Visitor of the University
