Section 1: Short title and commencement

The_Indian_Institute_of_Legal_Metrology_Rules_2011 and amendmentsState Rules of Punjab · 2010

(1) These rules may be called the Indian·· ··· . / Institute of Legal Metrology Rules, 2011.

(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 2011.

2·. Definitions.- In these rules, unless the context otherwise required: -

(a) "Act" means the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (1 of ~010).

(b) "Committee" means the Advisory Committee constituted under rule 7;

(c) "Course" means a course of study k'l"- relation to such subjects as may be specified in the regulations;

(d) "Institute" means the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology;

(e) "Director (Indian Institute of Legal Metrology)" means head of the Institute;

(f) "Regulation" means the regulations made by the Central Government under the Act.
