Section 41: Power to sanction, reject or return scheme

Punjab Town Improvement Act 1922State Act of Punjab · Act 4 of 1922

(1) The State Government may sanction, either with or without modification, or may refuse to sanction, or may return for reconsideration, any scheme submitted to it under section 40.

(2) If a scheme returned for reconsideration under sub-section (1) is modified by the trust, it shall be republished in accordance with section 36 -

(a) in every case in which the modification affects the boundaries of the locality comprised in the scheme, or involves the acquisition of any land not previously proposed to be acquired; and

(b) in every other case, unless the modification is in the opinion of the 24 The Punjab Town Improvement Act, 1922, Section 40
