Section 91: Penalty for obstructing contractor or removing mark

If any person -

(a) obstructs, or molests any person with whom the trust has entered into a contract in the performance or execution by such person of his duty or of anything which he is empowered or required to do under this Act, or

(b) removes any mark set up for the purpose of indicating any level or direction necessary to the execution of works authorized under this Act, he shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two months.

Section 92 [92. Recovery of money due to trust. - (1) Where any amount is due to the trust from any person, under this Act, such amount shall, on a certificate being granted by the chairman in the prescribed form, be recoverable as arrears of land revenue by the Collector of the District in which the person from whom the amount is due resides or carries on business or owns any property.

(2) Before issuing the certificate referred to in sub-section (1), the chairman shall make an application to the concerned Regional Deputy Director, Local Government, who shall by an order determine the amount due to the trust after giving an opportunity of being heard to the person concerned and communicate the same to the chairman.

(3) An appeal against an order passed by the Regional Deputy Director, Local The Punjab Town Improvement Act, 1922 Section 89 47 Government, under sub-section (2) shall lie within such period and to such authority as may be prescribed.

(4) The Regional Deputy Director, Local Government and the appellate authority shall follow such procedure as may be prescribed.
