Section 23: Examination of applicant

The Workmen’s Compensation Rules, 1924State Rules of Punjab · 1923

(1) On receiving an application of the nature referred to in Section 2, the Commissioner may examine the applicant on oath, or may send the application to an officer authorized by the State Government in this behalf and direct such officer to examine the applicant and his witnesses and forward the record thereof to the Commissioner.

(2) The substance of any examination made under sub-rule (1) shall be recorded in the manner provided for the recordings of evidence in Section 25.
