(1) Academic Council shall consist of the following, namely:-
The Academic Council 1. The Vice-Chancellor Ex-officio Chairman 2. the Director Research Ex-officio Member 3. the Director, Extension Education Ex-officio Member 4. the Director, Prioritization, Monitoring and Evaluation Ex-officio Member 5. Deans of all constituent colleges Ex-officio Member 6. the Chairperson of all faculties Ex-officio Member 7. the Director Students Welfare Ex-officio Member 8. the Controller of Examinations Ex-officio Member 9. the Director, Human Resource Development Ex-officio Member 10. the University Heads of all the Departments from each faculty (from teaching campuses not below the rank of Associate Professor) Member 11. one teacher of the Professor rank from each faculty to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor on rotational basis Member 12. one eminent Agricultural Educationist from outside of the University to be nominated by the by Vice-Chancellor Member 13. the Registrar Member 14. the Director Education Secretary
(2) Academic Council may co-opt as members not more than four persons in such manner as may be prescribed so as to secure adequate representation, of different sectors of agriculture and allied fields. (3) All members of the Academic Council other than the ex-officio; members and members referred in sub-section (2) shall hold office for a term of two years. (4) One third of the members of the Academic Council shall form quorum at a meeting of the Council: Provided that if a meeting of the Council is adjourned for want of quorum, no quorum shall be necessary at the next meeting for the transaction of the same business. (5) Normally the Academic Council shall meet once in every four months on such dates as may be fixed by the Vice-Chancellor, however, special meetings of the Academic Council can be called by the Vice-Chancellor.
