The Finance Committee shall consist of:-
Finance Committee 1. The Vice-Chancellor Ex-officio Chairman 2. the Secretary to Government in-charge of the Finance Department, or his/her nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary Member 3. the Secretary to the Government in-charge of the Agriculture Department, or his/her nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary Member 4. the Director, Research/Extension Education/ Education (one Director by rotation every year to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor) Member 5. one nominee of the Board who be the non-official member of the Board Member 6. the Comptroller Ex-officio Secretary
Explanation.- For the purposes of this sub-section, expression “Secretary to the Government in-charge” means the Secretary to the Government in-charge of a department and includes an Additional Chief Secretary and a Principal Secretary when he/she is in-charge of that department. (2) Finance Committee shall have the following functions, namely:- (i) to examine the annual accounts and budget estimates of the University and to advise the Board thereon; (ii) to review the financial position of the University from time to time; and (iii) to make recommendations to the Board on all matters relating to the finances of the University .
