The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint a District Registrar for each Revenue District of the State and such number of Registrar, as it think fit, for such local areas as may be specified in notification, who shall, subject to general control and direction of the District Registrar, discharge the functions of the Registrar.
