Section 47: Procedure during inquiry

The inspector at his inquiry shall make a careful examination of the damaged parts, and shall take such measurements and make such sketches for the purpose of his report as he may deem necessary. He shall inquire into the circumstances attending the accident and note the time of its occurrence, its nature and extent, the injury caused to persons and the damage done to property. The report should be in the style of the report of preliminary inquiries under the British Boiler Explosion Act, 1882 and 1890.
