Section 9: Procedure for allotment

The allotting authority shall, before taking up the allotment of land in any particular area issue a proclamation in Form-IV of his intention of doing so. Copies of the said proclamation shall be affixed on the notice boards of the allotting authority and the Tehsil concerned and in a conspicuous place in the village concerned, and it shall be proclaimed by beat of drum in the village or villages in which the lands to be allotted are situated,

(2) The proclamation shall, so far as may be, specify the area available for allotment.
