Section 8: Issue and Publication of notice

(1) After fixing, the time and date for inviting applications for allotment and preparing list in accordance with rule 7, the Allotting Authority shall issue a public notice in Form-II under its signature inviting applications for allotment within the time fixed therein, which shall not be less than 30 days of the date of such notice :

1[Provided that the State Government may by notification reduce the notice period of 30 days to 7 days].

(2) The copies of such notice shall be affixed at the following places for wide publicity, namely :-

(a) Notice Board of the allotting authority concerned.

(b) Notice Board of the Colonisation Tehsil/Revenue Tehsil in which the land is situated.
