Section 3: Establishment of the State Contingency Fund, the custody thereof and withdrawals therefrom

(1) With effect from the appointed day there shall be established for the State a Contingency Fund in the nature of an imprest entitled the Contingency Fund of the State of Rajasthan, into which shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of that State a sum of [Five hundred crores of rupees]
(2) The said Contingency Fund shall be held on behalf of the Governor by the Secretary to the State Government in the Finance Department and no advance shall be made out of that fund except for the purposes of meeting unforeseen expenditure pending authorisation of such expenditure by the State Legislature under appropriations made by law.
