Section 6: Division of constituencies etc

The Rajasthan District Boards Act, 1954State Act of Rajasthan · Act 2 of 1954

(1) The rural area of the district shall be divided into constituencies for the purposes of election of members of the Board. Each constituency shall consist of contiguous villages and shall be formed in the prescribed manner by the prescribed authority and shall return such number of members to the Board as the State Government may direct. (2) The candidates of all castes and communities shall be entitled to seek election and if a candidate is elected from more than one constituency, he shall not retain more than one seat in the Board, which he may choose in the prescribed manner within the prescribed period.
