Section 8: Penalties

Rajasthan Fisheries Act,1953State Act of Rajasthan · Act 16 of 1953

(1) If any person contravenes any provision of this Act or of the rules or orders made or notifications issued thereunder, he shall on conviction be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees or with both.

(2) Whoever, having once been convicted of a fishing offence, is again convicted of the same or any other fishing offence shall for every subsequent offence be punishable on conviction with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both.
