(1) Every Gram Sabha shall constitute an Executive Committee of its own, consisting of such number of members, not being less than five as the Gram Sabha may determine. (2) The members of the Executive Committee shall be elected by the members of the Gram Sabha from amongst themselves in the prescribed manner. (3) The Executive Committee shall elect from amongst its members, a President to be known as the President of the Gram Sabha, who shall exercise such powers and discharge such duties as may be prescribed. (4) The Executive Committee shall perform such functions, discharge such duties and exercise such powers as may be prescribed.
