Section 2: Definitions

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires :-

(1) "Ordinance" means the Rajasthan Home Guards Ordinance, 1962 (Ord. 2 of 1962).

COMMENTARY Rajasthan Home Guards Ordinance, 1962 (Raj. Ord. 2 of 1962) has been repealed and replaced by section 13(2) of Rajasthan Act No. 9 of 1963. Looking to the provisions of Section 2 13(3), anything done or rules made under the repealed Ordinance shall be deemed to have been made under the repealing Act itself. Hence in these rules, wherever reference is made to the repealed Ordinance, it should be understood as the repealing Act 9 of 1963.

(2) "Commandant" means a Commandant of Home Guards appointed under section 2;

(3) "Commandant General" means the Commandant General appointed under section 2;

(4) "Form' means a form appended to these rules;

(5) "Home Guards" means the Home Guards constituted under section 2;

(6) "Member of Home Guards" means a member appointed under section 3;

(7) "Section" means a section of the Ordinance.
