Section 15: Finance Committee

(1) The Finance Committee shall consist of–

(i) the Vice-Chancellor Ex-officio Chairman;

(ii) the Secretary to Government incharge of the Finance Department or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary Ex-officio Member;

(iii) the Secretary to the Government in-charge of the Department of the Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary Ex-officio Member;

(iv) the Director, Skill education Ex-officio Member;

(v) three nominee of the Board who shall be the non-official member of the Board Member;

the Comptroller Ex-officio Member- Secretary.

Explanation.- For the purposes of this sub-section, expression “Secretary to the Government in-charge” means the Secretary to the Government in-charge of a department and includes an Additional Chief Secretary and a Principal Secretary when he is in-charge of that department.

(2) Finance Committee shall have the following functions, namely:- 11

(i) to examine the annual accounts and budget estimates of the University and to advise the Board thereon;

(ii) to review the financial position of the University from time to time; and

(iii) to make recommendations to the Board on all matters relating to the finances of the University .
