(1) There shall be established in the State of Rajasthan a University at Jaipur by the name of the Rajasthan ILD Skills University, Jaipur.
(2) The University shall consist of a Chancellor, a Vice-Chancellor, a Board of Management, an Academic Council, and other authorities and officers as set forth in this Act or as provided in the Statutes.
(3) The University shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by its corporate name.

(4) The University shall be competent to acquire and hold property, both movable and immovable, to lease, sell or otherwise transfer any movable or immovable property which may have become vested in or have been acquired by it for the purpose of the University, and to borrow money from the Central Government, State Government or any other sources approved by the Central Government or State Government and it may enter into a contract and do all other things necessary for the purpose of this Act.
(5) In all suits and other legal proceedings by or against the University, the pleadings shall be signed and verified by the Registrar and all processes in such suits and proceedings shall be issued to and served on the Registrar.
(6) The headquarters of the University shall be at Jaipur which shall be the headquarters of the Vice-Chancellor.
