GOVERNMENT Of RAJASTHAN DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL (A-Gr+ II) No*FJ(4)DOP/A-ll/ff6 Jaipur dated; 0& * 9 >?*// NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Rajasthan hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Rajasthan Medical and Health Service Rules, 1963, namely;-

1. Short title and commencement:- [1] These rules may be called the Rajasthan Medical and Health Service (Amendment) Rules, 2011'.

\2) They shall come into force with immediate effect.

2. Substitution of rule 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20:- The existing rule 16, 1 7r 18,19 and 20 of the Rajasthan Medical and Health Service Rules, 1963, herein after referred to as the said rules, shall be substituted by following, namely "16. Inviting of applications:- Applications for direct recruitment to posts in the service shall be- invited by the Appointing Authority by advertising the vacancies, to be filled, in the Official Gazette or in such other manner, as may be deemed fit by the Appointing Authority, The advertisement shall contain □ clause that a candidate who accepts the- assignment of the- post being offered to him/her shall- be paid.monthly fixed remuneration at the rate fixed by t h e ^ * ^ Government, from time to time during the period of probation and the scale of pay of the post as shown elsewhere in the advertisement shall be allowed only from the date of successful completion of-the period of probation mentioned .in ' these rules:

Provided that while selecting candidates for the vacancies, so advertised, the Committee may, if intimation of additional requirement not exceeding 50% of the advertised vacancies, is received by it before the selection, also select suitable persons to meet such additional requirement.

17. Form of Applicatlonv The application shall be made in the form prescribed by the Government and obtainable from the office of the Director on ' payment of such fee, as may befixed by fhe'Government.

18, Application fee:- A candidate for direct recruitment to a post in the service shall pay to the Director such fees os fixed by the Government from time fo time, in such manner as may be indicated by it.

19. Scrutiny of applications:- The Committee constituted by the Government under the Chairmanship of Director Medical and Health Services, shall scrutinize the applications received by the Appointing Authority and require as many candidates qualified for appointment under these rules to appear in the written examination conducted by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences;

Provided that the decision of the Appointing Authority as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate shall be final.

20. Recommendation of the Committee:* The Committee shall prepare a list of the candidates whom they consider suitable tor appointment to the post concerned, arranged in the order of merit of written examination conducted by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and forward the same to the Appointing Authority:

Provided that the Committee may, to the extent of 50% of the advertised vacancies keep names of suitable candidates on the reserve list. The names of such candidates may on requisition, be recommended in the order of merit to the Appointing Authority within six months from the date on which the original list is forwarded by the Committee to the Appointing Authority," By order în the name of the Governor fNalini Kathotia) Dy, Secretary to the Government
