Section 187: Temporary erection on streets during festivals

(1) The Chief Municipal Officer may grant a permission, in writing, for temporary erection of a booth, panda!, or any other structure on any public place on occasions of ceremonies and festivals, on payment of such fee, and on such conditions, as may be determined by the Municipality by bye-laws, and for such period as may be mentioned in the letter of permission:

Provided that no permission shall be given under this Section without consultation with the Police officer In-charge of traffic in the municipal area.

(2) The person to whom such permission is granted shall fill in the ground and reinstate the same to the satisfaction of the Chief Municipal Officer within such period as may be mentioned in the letter of permission.
