(1) No statue in any street or public, place shall be allowed or permitted to be installed without the prior approval of the State Government or any authority authorized by it
(2) Any person who destroys, pulls down or defaces any statue installed or erected within the limits of Municipality in accordance with sub-Section (1) or any person or authority who installs a statue without the prior approval of the State Government or in contravention of the conditions prescribed by it, shall, or conviction, be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than two months but which may extend to six months and with fine which shall not be less than twenty five thousand rupees but which may extend to fifty thousand rupees.
